Foundation of Hope will be kicking of 2019 with our first fundraising event during the Whistler Pride and Ski Festival. The festival runs January 20-27, 2019 in the world-class Resort Municipality of Whistler, B.C.

It will be the third time Gay Whistler organizers Dean Nelson and Sunil Sinha have engaged FOH as a community partner. We are thrilled to once again have the opportunity to spread the word and promote the cause for safe migration of LGBT+ Asylum Seekers and Refugees over two events happening on the weekend.

Look for us on Friday, January 25th in the Parade coming off the mountain. Then be sure to attend the T-Dance from 5 – 8 pm at the Whistler Conference Centre directly afterward. Take a break from dancing and come visit us there. Learn about the amazing work we do as a volunteer organization.

Many generous businesses have donated items as part of our 3rd Annual Silent Auction. It will run over two days, starting Friday at the T-dance and extending into Saturday at the WHOOSSH! party, a legendary LGBT+ community fundraiser.

Peter Diniz is an organizer of SkiOUT, a local LGBTQ2 ski and snowboard group. SkiOUT is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and is thrilled to announce the one night only return of WHOOSSH! to Merlin’s Bar and Grill on Saturday January 26, 2019 at 4553 Blackcomb Way in the Upper Village from 8pm to midnight!

Ticket prices will be $30 with 80% of the cover (or more) donated to H.I.M. Health Initiatives for Men PLUS 100% of the donation coat check going to us, the Rainbow Foundation of Hope! Our silent auction will be located above the party on the second floor in the venue.

For those that don’t know, WHOOSSH! is easily one of the best parties over gay ski week and this year promises to be even better.
